Welcome to Open River Canoe Adventures.....aka ORCA. We are besotted canoe nuts, who run Canadian canoe building workshops from a submarine testing station, on the shores of Ullswater, a short walk from Pooley Bridge, in the AMAZING Lake District.
For 2025 we have our 14ft LAKELANDER super stable and easy to build canoe.
The courses are super chilled, music playing, tea brewing, paint flying things of creation. You don't need any wood working skills, as the stages are really simple and loads of fun.
Come on your own, or bring friends and family along to help out at no extra cost and make a holiday out of it. Upon completion, the canoe is yours to keep.

CANOE HIRE
Comming to the Lake District and need a canoe? we can hire you a canoe, paddles and life vests for either a weekend or a week.
Price depends on length of hire time and type of canoe.
