CAMPING YURTS AND BARN AT GREATSTRICKLAND

Camping info for Gt Strickland only.

We can offer you camping and yurts along with a Converted barn at Greatstickland. About 20min drive to our workshop.

NOTE: we dont run the camping. If you would like to camp please message Tom on 07774239699 to check availability.  You will be sent arrival info once you have booked a workshop.

Camping is a no frills kind of affair in a small woodland same as Yurts, there is a basic hot shower and flushing toilet. The woodland can get muddy after a lot of rain!!  This is all arranged with the farm owners and can be paid in cash to them.

Camping space is limited so please check with us before you commit, as busy builds fill up fast so its a first to book first to get a camping spot.

CAMPERVANS AND MOTORHOMES

There is also the option to stay in your camper van at Greatstrickland, however the is no electric hook up and they do not really have room for large motor homes due to the size of the car park, but give Tom a call to check.

ORCA campsite

The camping at Greatstickland 20 minuets drive to the workshop.

CAMPING OPTIONS NEAR THE WORKSHOP

Sorry there is not camping at the workshop itself but....most campsites are around Ullswater and Pooley Bridge.

Park Foot Campsite is the closest campsite to our workshop only a 300mt walk.

Waterside House campsite is the next campsite along from Parkfoot about 1 kilometre from the workshop and you can walk there along the Lake shore.

Water Foot Park is within walking distance about 1 Kilometre again but in the other direction.

The Quiet Site is near Ullswater and was holiday park of the year 2013 for Cumbria, it offers camping, camping pods, cottages, great views of the lake and more. You will need to drive if staying here.

The Sun Inn at Pooley Bridge lets folk park in a field round the back so long as you have foot there, its worth calling them, no showers though! Tell them you are going to build a canoe with us!

If you are looking for a cottage or B&B go to www.cumbrian-cottages.co.uk and look for cottages in the North Lakes / Penrith area.

If you fancy staying somewhere further afield it is quite possible to stay in the Keswick area, where you have even more options. Staying in Keswick will take you about 20 mins drive to get to us.
