CANOE BUILDING WORKSHOPS

IN THE LAKE DISTRICT - POOLEY BRIDGE

YOUNG MASTER BUILDERS

One question we get asked frequently is "can I bring my child or children to help build the canoe" and the answer is YES of course you can. The workshops make for a great family holiday activity..there is loads to do and it's great having them along to help with the build. Depending on their age for young kids we have all sorts of jobs we can get them doing to keep them occupied. The youngest child we had on a build was a new born baby, not much we could get them to do but they seemed very contented hanging out with the team.

If you do bring your kids and are worried about how much they can really help with the build, there are plenty of local places to take them to. Don't forget about your canoe though!

Below is a list of our favorite places..

OUTDOOR HEATED POOLS, ASKHAM

This is our place to head to on fine days. They sell huge mugs of steaming tea and coffee. So very British.

ABBOT LODGE ICE CREAM FARM
