Welcome to Open River Canoe Adventures.....aka ORCA. We are besotted canoe nuts, who run Canadian canoe building workshops from a submarine testing station, on the shores of Ullswater, a short walk from Pooley Bridge, in the AMAZING Lake District.
For 2021 we have our 14ft LAKELANDER super stable and easy to build canoe.
The courses are super chilled, music playing, tea brewing, paint flying things of creation. You don't need any wood working skills, as the stages are really simple and loads of fun.
Come on your own, or bring friends and family along to help out at no extra cost and make a holiday out of it. Upon completion, the canoe is yours to keep.
COVID UPDATE: posted 9th March
We have stopped taking bookings as we need to full-fill current builds that have been cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Once we have sorted this we will open bookings again for any spaces that are left.
As off the 17th May we will be ruining builds.
