Our unique tried and tested course, amied at those
with little or no experience of Canadian Canoeing. Set over three
days, you will learn the fundamentals of the versatile open canoe.
The Lakelander covers all the skills of canoe journeying and will
open up a new realm of wilderness travel... from beginnings in canoe
handling, to expedition prep and even canoe sailing on one of the
Lake District's most beautiful lakes. This course will give you
the skills and the confidence to set out on one of our classic multi-day
expeditions... or even one of your own!
This is a daylight only course due to lakeshore camping restrictions,
so you are free to wander and explore at the end of each day. There
are plenty of campsites and B&B's in Keswick. We meet at Derwentwater
at 9am each day.
